You should have seen the look of delighted amazement when I gave your creations to the Twins’ parents” -

The popularity of my “Children’s Fantasies” has been amazing to me. Perhaps because it appears, to my knowledge, to be unique in the world.
Imagine a portrait of your child or grandchild, surrounded by their favorite things, friends, and family, accompanied by a poem which ties in all the child’s interests into a story.

GIAN-GIAN’S SONG [FIRST VERSE OF POEM]
“Though a Twin, I’ve been quite independent So please let me tell you my tale, A tale heaven sent which surely was meant To be certain I never would fail."
Above, as an example, is “Gian-Gian’s Song.” It includes a portrait of a six-year-old twin, with her real and imaginary friends, her family, and a poem which tells her story. (I also created one for her
twin brother.)
Other watercolors reflect my waterfront home on the North Shore of Massachusetts; Gloucester, Cape Ann fishing and art communities; my travels in France, England and Italy.
My portraits capture an informal pose or familiar setting, rich in color, and a trace of humor, if appropriate. |
